Participants in the “Covenant for Jerusalem” conference, held in Istanbul, announced the launch of a popular document titled “The Covenant to Halt and Criminalize the Zionist Genocide in the Gaza Strip and Pursue Its Perpetrators.” The initiative aims to unify popular and institutional efforts to stop the ongoing genocide and hold those responsible accountable.

The organizers of the initiative, during a panel titled “Towards Renewing the Will of the Ummah in Confronting Extermination and Genocide”, affirmed that the document is open for individuals and organizations wishing to join and participate in implementing its provisions.

The document, presented by the President of the Jordanian Bar Association, Ya'hya Abu 'Abboud said that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have been subjected for more than two years to a full-fledged genocide carried out by Israel through large-scale bombardment, a suffocating blockade that caused starvation and prevented medical care, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure, in addition to documented violations against prisoners, women, and children.

The document stressed that these crimes were committed openly and in an unprecedented manner, clearly revealing the genocidal intent behind them.

It also reviewed a series of international and UN reports that have affirmed the genocidal nature of the assault on Gaza, including reports by UN special rapporteurs, the Independent International Commission of Inquiry, and global human rights organizations. It asserts that international recognition of the reality of the genocide is now well-established, and that the current phase requires moving from diagnosing the crime to criminalizing it and pursuing its perpetrators and accomplices without hesitation.

The document includes eight principal commitments that signatories pledge to uphold, most notably:

-Escalating popular action to stop the genocide and restoring international pressure on Israel. -Intensifying efforts to break the blockade on Gaza and supporting maritime convoys until it is fully lifted. -Expanding documentation efforts and media pressure to expose the crime and strip Israel of legitimacy. -Criminalizing genocide denial and confronting discourse that downplays Israel’s crimes. -Supporting international legal efforts to prosecute Israeli political and military leaders, as well as complicit states and companies. -Criminalizing the colonial Zionist ideology, which the document identifies as the ideological root of the genocidal crimes. -Strengthening popular and civil boycott efforts and isolating Israel economically and diplomatically. -Establishing a joint coordination mechanism among signatories to ensure implementation of the covenant’s provisions.

The document concluded by emphasizing that stopping the genocide is a shared moral, humanitarian, and legal responsibility, calling on peoples and institutions around the world to engage in a collective effort to deter Israel, deliver justice to the victims, and hold the perpetrators accountable.

Gaza’s health sector suffers from critical deficit in medical supplies

Gaza’s health ministry has reported a catastrophic shortage of medical supplies, noting that 52 percent of essential medicines are out of stock.

In a statement on Sunday, the health ministry added that 71 percent of medical consumables and 70 percent of laboratory items are also completely out of stock in the Gaza Strip.

“As the need for medical interventions for the wounded and sick continues to rise, the crisis is worsening. Primary care, surgical procedures, intensive care, oncology, and hematology are among the services facing severe shortages of vital medicines,” the health ministry said.

“Departments including orthopedics, nephrology, dialysis, ophthalmology, general surgery, and intensive care also face dire challenges due to critical shortages of medical supplies,” the ministry added.

The ministry called for providing the Gaza Strip with its medical needs to ensure that specialized departments can continue operating effectively.”

Nael Barghouti: Israel is turning prisons into chambers of extermination

Palestinian ex-prisoner Nael El-Barghouthi, the dean of Palestinian prisoners and the longest-held prisoner in the world, detailed the “silent extermination” taking place inside Israeli prisons, and the ways to stop it at the legal, humanitarian, and political levels.

In an emotional intervention during the second session of the second day of the “Covenant for Jerusalem” conference on Sunday, El-Barghouthi stressed that “the El-Aqsa Flood did not come only for the prisoners or for El-Aqsa Mosque, but for the Palestinian cause, which is being erased day after day due to waves of normalization with Israel.” He emphasized that what prisoners are facing today is “a real extermination carried out under the cover of the international community,” warning that “the approaching Zionist danger will not be limited to Palestinians, but will extend to all peoples who support them.”

Having spent more than 44 years in captivity, El-Barghouthi presented shocking details about systematic abuses and extermination methods, dividing them into three main categories:

Physical

This includes severe beatings, kicking, slamming prisoners’ heads against walls, releasing attack dogs on prisoners, with metal tools fixed to the dogs’ mouths to cause maximum injury, alongside tying them up for long hours and denying sick prisoners medical care and medication.

Female prisoners have also been subjected to grave physical and psychological violations, including harassment, rape, and forced removal of their hijabs, abuses he said are carried out “with shocking deliberateness and brutality.”

Psychological

This consists of prolonged solitary confinement in darkness for days or weeks, total disconnection from the outside world, and exposure to terrifying sounds and sudden assaults while blindfolded, all intended to break their will.

Starvation

A systematic policy, one Barghouthi said “destroyed his body beyond repair,” according to medical testimony, implemented through calculated deprivation of sufficient food and through the extremely poor quality of what is provided.

El-Barghouthi criticized the silence of international institutions, explaining that Israel “works through its representatives to falsify human rights reports or manipulate them.” He called on the international community to show greater vigilance and fairness, while stressing that Arab and Islamic nations must shoulder their responsibility in confronting the systematic extermination of prisoners and the Palestinian people.

He pointed out that more than 3,500 administrative detainees are subjected to continuous arrest, beating, and torture, in addition to cases of prisoners “with no names and no numbers,” whose conditions are completely unknown. He also revealed that Israel “mutilates the bodies of martyred prisoners and steals their organs” before handing them over to families after a long delay, making identification nearly impossible.

El-Barghouthialso discussed the pressure exerted by Israel to prevent some Arab countries from receiving released prisoners, while Western countries have agreed to host them. “There are prisoners who have been in jail for decades, used as bargaining chips to extract political concessions,” he said, noting also the challenges prisoners face after release, including depriving their children of education and the suffering of those exiled abroad.

He concluded by affirming that the prisoners’ cause is “a humanitarian cause before it is a political one,” calling on the world to take urgent action to stop these violations, which he described as “a full-fledged extermination.”

ICRC: Israel has prevented us from visiting Palestinian prisoners since October 2023

Pierre Krähenbühl, Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), said that Israel has continued to prevent Red Cross teams from visiting Palestinian prisoners since October 7, 2023.

In a press statement on Sunday, Krähenbühl said the ICRC is working to intensify efforts to reach Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons, despite the restrictions imposed on its operations.

Meanwhile, an Israeli report has revealed that the conditions for Palestinian detainees have rapidly deteriorated since the start of the war on Gaza, with many prisoners suffering from severe hunger, according to an audit released by the Israeli Attorney General’s Office.

The Times of Israel reported on Sunday that the audit found significant weight loss and clear signs of malnutrition among the prisoners interviewed by the office’s representatives. Inspectors noted that some detainees had become dangerously thin.

The report highlighted that the worsening conditions coincided with a rise in the number of prisoners since the Israeli assault on Gaza began. Detainees are receiving meager food portions, suffering repeated physical abuse by guards, and are being held in unsanitary conditions that have led to the spread of diseases in overcrowded cells.

Since the outbreak of the genocidal war, Israel’s prison service issued directives to restrict or cancel regular activities. Palestinian prisoners have been barred from contacting their families or meeting with Red Cross representatives. They are allowed only one hour of daily outdoor time and are prohibited from keeping personal belongings such as books or family photos.

These restrictions apply to all “security prisoners,” including minors, without any regard for their health or humanitarian conditions.

Earlier on Sunday, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs warned of the critical health conditions of two Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails, amid the ongoing deterioration of detention conditions and a policy of deliberate medical neglect.

In a statement, the Commission said that its lawyer visited two detainees: Faysal Saba'na (65), from the town of Qabatya near Jineen, and 'Ali Abu 'Atiya, 29, from Ramallah in the central West Bank. Both are reportedly in severe health condition.

Sabaaneh has been held under administrative detention since October 25, 2023. He was transferred in early November from Naf'ha prison to the Ramla prison clinic after suffering a heart attack. According to the Commission, Saba'na began experiencing symptoms days prior and requested to be taken to the clinic, but his request was denied. He also reported being physically assaulted by a medic before receiving any medical tests.

He stated that the amount of food provided to him has been insufficient since his arrest, and the shortage has worsened in the last two months.

As for 'Ali Abu 'Atiya, the Commission reported he was arrested on November 4, 2023, from his workplace in Ramallah after being shot by an Israeli special forces unit, resulting in a broken leg. He was taken to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in occupied Jerusalem, where he underwent two surgeries.

The Commission holds Israeli prison authorities fully responsible for the health deterioration of prisoners and demands immediate access to adequate medical care and an end to medical neglect and physical abuse that threaten their lives.

More than 9,300 Palestinian prisoners are currently held by Israel, including women and children. According to both local and Israeli human rights organizations, detainees face torture, abuse, malnutrition, and medical neglect, resulting in the death of dozens.

These violations are taking place amid escalating crimes against detainees and the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza since October 2023, which has killed over 70,000 people and injured more than 171,000, most of whom are women and children.

According to the latest health reports, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 70,360, mostly children and women, since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023. The number of injuries has also climbed to 171,047.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Medical sources said that six new fatalities and 17 injured people were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours.

ICRC facilitates transfer of five released Palestinian detainees to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Sunday facilitated the transfer of five Palestinian detainees released via the Karm Abu Salim crossing to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dair El-Bala'h, in the Gaza Strip, and assisted in restoring contact and reunifying them with their families.

The ICRC reiterated that its access to Palestinian detainees in Israeli detention centers remains suspended, underscoring the need to be informed of the names of all Palestinian detainees and granted immediate access to them.

The ICRC said it is continuing its dialogue with the Israeli occupation authorities to restore visits to all Palestinian detainees, stressing that international humanitarian law requires humane treatment, acceptable detention conditions, and the ability for detainees to maintain contact with their families.

Eight wanted individuals surrender in Gaza meeting resistance call

A senior official in Gaza’s Resistance Security confirmed that eight individuals affiliated with the Israeli occupation forces-backed criminal gangs have voluntarily turned themselves in to the relevant authorities in recent hours. This comes after the resistance announced a ten-day amnesty window.

The official explained in a press statement on Sunday that the surrender was carried out willingly, following direct coordination with several families and with the clear support of tribal leaders who withdrew social protection from the suspects greatly facilitating their handover.

He added that the amnesty period remains open for other wanted individuals throughout the announced duration, urging anyone involved to seize this opportunity to regularize their status through the established procedures.

Since October 7, 2023, and with American and European support, Israel has carried out a campaign of genocide in Gaza, involving mass killings, starvation, destruction, displacement, and detention, in defiance of international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt its actions.

The onslaught has left more than 239,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, the vast majority of them children and women. Over 11,000 people remain missing, while hundreds of thousands have been displaced and famine has claimed the lives of many, mostly children. Entire areas have been wiped off the map, with Gaza’s cities and infrastructure left in ruins.

Israel destroys buildings, launches airstrikes in eastern Gaza

Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza on Sunday, launching attacks in the southern and central parts of the Strip. A child was injured after Israeli troops pushed beyond their deployment zone in southern Khan Younus.

A medical source reported that a child was taken to the Baptist Hospital in central Gaza City with injuries sustained from Israeli gunfire in El-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.

Local sources indicated that the area where the child was injured had previously seen an Israeli withdrawal under the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces demolished buildings and opened fire in areas where they remain stationed east of Khan Younus in southern Gaza.

Local media also reported that Israeli military vehicles fired their weapons north of Rafa'h City in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Early Sunday morning, Israeli aircraft carried out an airstrike targeting the eastern Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, with no casualties reported at the time of writing.

At the same time, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing assault since October 7, 2023, has risen to 70,360, the majority of whom are children and women.

The Ministry added that 171,047 people have been injured so far, and many victims remain trapped under rubble, unreachable by emergency and rescue teams.

In the last 24 hours alone, 6 people were killed and 17 others were injured, raising the total number of those killed since the ceasefire agreement on October 10, 2023, to 373 martyrs and 970 injured, with 624 bodies recovered.

Two Palestinian young men were martyred on Saturday night by the Israeli occupation forces (IOFs), who opened fire at a vehicle in the Bab al‑Zawiya area of El-Khaleel (Hebron) City.

The IOFs justified the shooting incident by claiming that the young men carried out a car-ramming attack and injured one of its soldiers in the area.

Local sources said that Israeli forces showered a vehicle in the area with bullets, killing two young men instantly.

The Israeli occupation soldiers then sealed off the area and prevented ambulance crews from reaching the scene before seizing one of the bodies.

The Red Crescent reported that its ambulance crews were barred by the Israeli occupation forces from reaching the victims to evacuate them or provide them with any first aid.

One of the martyrs was identified as 53-year-old Ziyad Abu Dawoud, a municipal employee in El-Khaleel (Hebron).

Eyewitnesses and local sources affirmed that all the soldiers at the scene were behind concrete blocks, and that the vehicle posed no danger at the moment of the shooting.

An elderly woman, her grandson, and two foreign activists sustained injuries on Sunday morning after a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked them in the village of El‑Mughayir, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that a group of settlers savagely assaulted the family of Rizq Abu Na’eem, beating and injuring his elderly wife, Fida, and his grandson, Rizq.

The settlers also attacked and injured two foreign activists with sticks and stones in the village.

All the victims were rushed to the hospital for medical assistance.

For months, the West Bank has witnessed a surge in Israeli violence by settlers and soldiers, including arson attacks, thefts, assaults on citizens, and preventing farmers from working their lands.

According to field data, Israeli forces and settlers carried out at least 2,144 attacks during November in different West Bank areas.

A Palestinian child was injured on Sunday evening by live bullet shrapnel fired by Israeli forces in the town of Burqeen, west of Jineen, according to local sources.

Sources said that Israeli forces stormed the town and opened live fire at citizens, injuring a 12-year-old child with bullet shrapnel in his knee while he was riding his bicycle.

Israeli occupation forces detained an ambulance crew on Sunday after stopping their vehicle for several hours at the northern entrance to El-Beereh.

IOFs kidnap several Palestinians from their homes in the West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank last night and on Sunday morning.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped two brothers and the father of a wanted young man following raids on homes in the eastern neighborhood of Jineen City.

In Ramallah, the IOFs kidnapped two citizens from the villages of Kafr 'Ain and El-Mazra’ah El-Gharbiya.

In Qalqilya, the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped two young men from their homes and seized a car during a raid in Jayyous town.

In El-Khaleel (Hebron), five citizens were taken prisoner during an IOFs raid in Sa’ir town. They were kidnapped shortly after a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers attacked homes and property in the town.

The IOFs also stormed other areas of the West Bank and raided homes, with no reported kidnappings.

The detentions followed an attack carried out by the illegal Israeli settlers on Palestinian homes and property in the Hamroush area of the town.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime on Sunday issued demolition notices for residential and agricultural structures southeast of occupied Jerusalem.

El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate said in a brief statement that the occupation authorities notified more than 10 residential and agricultural structures near the 'Arab El-Jahaleen Bedouin community, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, of forced removal and demolition.

The Governorate noted that during November 2025, it recorded a new and serious escalation in the demolition and bulldozing policy carried out by the occupation authorities against Palestinians in the city.

A total of 27 demolitions and bulldozing operations were documented, including five self-demolitions in which residents were compelled to dismantle their own homes and facilities under threat of heavy fines, in addition to 21 demolitions carried out by the occupation municipality machinery and forces, as well as one bulldozing operation that targeted a plot of land.

It added that in the same month, 45 notices were recorded, including 43 demolition orders and one notice ordering forced removal, as well as the seizure of 77.608 dunums of land in the eastern part of the town of El-'Eisawiya.

It said the notices were concentrated in El-Wallaja, the Old City, Wadi El-Hummus, El-'Eisawiya, and El-Za'ayyim, reflecting the occupation’s persistent effort to tighten its control over El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) neighborhoods and reshape the city’s surroundings and contact zones.

Illegal Israeli settlers continue bulldozing and plowing agricultural lands in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, December 7, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers today continued to bulldoze and plow agricultural lands in various areas of the northern Jordan Valley, according to local sources.

Sources reported that colonists plowed land in the El-Joubiya area and planted it with rain-fed crops. Over the past weeks, colonists have continued to plow and level dozens of dunums of Palestinian residents’ lands.

A report issued by B’Tselem, the Israeli Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, detailed how Israel is increasing its efforts to drive dozens of Palestinian shepherding communities in the northern Jordan Valley out of their homes and lands.

“Through cooperation and collaboration among the military, police, settlers and the Jordan Valley Regional Council, Israel has reduced the pastureland available to Palestinians, blocked regular water supply and taken measures to isolate the Jordan Valley from the rest of the West Bank,” said the center.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.

The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned.

Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack Palestinian citizens’ vehicles northeast of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), gather near Bethlehem amid fears of further assaults

El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), December 7, 2025 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli settlers on Sunday evening attacked Palestinian citizens’ vehicles near the town of Mikhmas, northeast of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

The Jerusalem Governorate said in a brief statement that a group of colonists attacked vehicles on the main road near Mikhmas, with no injuries or material damage reported.

Meanwhile, colonists gathered on Sunday evening near the village of El-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem. Security sources told WAFA that several colonists gathered near the al-Minya roundabout, prompting concerns over possible assaults on passing vehicles.

According to the Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission, the Israeli occupation forces and colonists carried out 2,144 attacks in November, including 1,523 by the occupation army and 621 by the illegal Israeli settlers. The attacks were largely concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and El-Beereh (360), Hebron (348), Bethlehem (342), and Nablus (334).

Dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers defile El-Aqsa Mosque

Scores of the illegal Israeli settlers desecrated El-Aqsa Mosque in El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) on Sunday morning and later in the afternoon, amid restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the holy site.

According to Al-Qastal News, at least 223 of the illegal Israeli settlers entered the Mosque through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under police protection.

446 other people also toured the Mosque’s courtyards under the guise of being tourists.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed provocative Talmudic prayers, especially in the eastern area of the Mosque and on the staircase leading to the plateau of the Dome of the Rock building.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at El-Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates and prevented many of them from entering the holy site.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack Palestinian citizens, homes in the West Bank

Groups of the illegal Israeli settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian citizens and homes in different areas of the occupied West Bank on Saturday.

According to local sources in El-Khaleel (Hebron), a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers escorted by soldiers savagely attacked Palestinian citizens from the Idris family in the Khilat El-Natsh area of eastern El-Khaleel (Hebron).

The sources said that several citizens sustained injuries in eastern El-Khaleel (Hebron) and received on-site medical assistance.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians were injured on Saturday afternoon after being beaten by Israeli soldiers near the city of Jericho, east of the West Bank.

Local sources said that Israeli forces stopped three young men at a military checkpoint near the illegal Ma’ale Ephraim settlement and the Palestinian town of El‑Jiftlik north of Jericho, and brutally assaulted them. They were subsequently transferred to the hospital.

In Bethlehem, a horde of armed settlers stormed the village of Kisan in the southeast of the city, where they attacked Palestinian homes and opened fire at them under the protection of Israeli soldiers, which sparked panic among the local residents.

In the northeast of Jerusalem, a group of settlers released their livestock into olive groves in Mikhmas village and tried to assault residents in their homes before local youths managed to fend them off.

In a separate incident, an armed settler attacked El‑'Hathroura Bedouin community near El-Khan El‑A'hmar area of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), while other settlers assaulted shepherds and prevented them from grazing their sheep.

Local sources reported that the armed settler walked menacingly and provocatively among residents’ homes in the Bedouin community in order to terrorize the families.

On Saturday morning, settlers harassed shepherds from the same community, preventing them from taking their sheep to nearby grazing land.

Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007.
